James Dicks has very close ties with the U.S. Military. He travels around the world to discuss the importance of developing positive financial habits through Operation Financial Freedom. James' most recent book Operation Financial Freedom is a bestseller published by McGraw-Hill, but this unique financial project also includes a number of other tools developed by his company including eight hours of daily Internet radio programs, a monthly magazine, daily video reports, live classroom instruction and instructional DVDs. His desire to help the military prompted James to create this Web site designed to assist military members and their families with a one-stop, financial information and educational site. He travels around the world to discuss Operation Financial Freedom at his own expense and offers military members complete access to all of his educational tools at absolutely no cost.
James Dicks is a former member of the U.S. Marine Corps and member of the Marine Corps League, a veteran/military service organization formed to promote the interests of the U.S. Marine Corps and provide assistance to Marines, their widows and their orphans. The League awards scholarships, sponsors a National Youth Physical Fitness Program and participates in patriotic functions both locally and nationally. It also assists veterans through its National Legislative Committee and its National Legislative Officer. Every year, James also participates in the Toys for Tots program, sponsored by the Marine Corps, which helps ensure that the holidays are happier for local kids.
In order to assist military members and their families, James has met with high-ranking military officials at the Pentagon in Washington D.C. including the Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps where he offered PremiereTrade®'s assistance with financial education to military members. James offered the Sergeant Major his help in the form of a volunteer recruiter for the USMC and as a source of valuable personal financial information to the military. He has also spent time with the Navy's precision flying team, The Blue Angels, and even flew with the team aboard one of their F-18 aircrafts. James also visited the crew and officers aboard the USS John F. Kennedy, landing on the deck of the carrier while the ship was on duty in the Atlantic. He spoke to the crew about how to increase their financial legacy on the ship's television station and met with crew members face-to-face during his two days aboard the ship. The James Dicks Magazine also featured how the loss of the USS JFK (which retired in 2007) would affect the local community around the Mayport Naval Air Station.
James recently participated in the 73rd Joint Civilian Orientation Conference (JCOC), a Secretary of Defense sponsored program for America's leaders interested in expanding their knowledge of the military and national defense. JCOC is the oldest existing Pentagon-outreach program having been in existence since 1948. JCOC participants attend briefings by senior military and civilian officials followed by hands-on experience observing exercises, participating in training and interacting with troops stationed across the globe. He traveled to Djibouti, Bahrain, Kuwait and Qatar to see first hand the operational structure of the U.S. military in the Middle East and Central Asian region.
James has also met with legislative representatives and congressmen in Washington D.C., offering his corporate and personal help to these influential governmental officials. He recently spent some time with President George W. Bush, visited the offices of Congressman Ric Keller and personally met with Congressman John Mica.
James continues his mission of providing sound-financial strategies for everyday use and is focused to giving back to the men and women of our armed forces.
